On sunday the 18th of september 2011 I took part in the "Los Angeles Road Concerts" arts and music festival in California, curated by Stephen van Dyck. My contribution was "Norma", a poster installation that showed Gloria Swanson in her role as Norma Desmond. It covered the sidewalks of the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, where Sunset meets the stars of the Walk of Fame.
Serving as a temporary memorial for the golden age of Hollywood and the transient state of fame, the audience was invited to pick posters from the installation or to walk over it, accelerating its decay.
As transient as fame itself, "Norma" lasted only for a couple of hours.
